Claude integration for Buffer
Connect Buffer to Claude, Claude CoWork, or Claude Code via Model Context Protocol (MCP) and manage your social media content through natural language. Draft posts, review your queue, and schedule content — all from within a Claude conversation.
Getting started
There are two ways to connect Buffer with Claude depending on what you want to do.
Option 1: Claude Web/Desktop
- Open Claude in your browser or desktop app — claude.ai
- Navigate to "Customize", click "Connectors", then click "Add custom connector"
- Fill in the form with the following details, then click "Add":
- Name: Buffer
- Remote MCP server URL: https://mcp.buffer.com/mcp
- Once the connector is added, click "Connect". Sign in to Buffer if prompted and approve access to complete the connection
Option 2: Claude Code
- Install Claude Code by following Anthropic's quickstart guide
- Run the following command to add the Buffer MCP server to Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http buffer https://mcp.buffer.com/mcp - Start a Claude Code session, run /mcp, select the Buffer MCP server, then sign in to Buffer if prompted and approve access
