Scheduling Mastodon posts through Buffer is super easy. Here’s how:

  • To get started, log in to your Buffer account or create a Buffer account for free.
  • In the Buffer dashboard, click on your profile avatar at the top right of your dashboard and then click Account from the drop-down menu.
  • Click the Channels option from the menu on the left hand side of your screen.
  • Click on Mastodon. (If you already have channels connected, click Connect New Channel and then click Mastodon).
  • Once you select Mastodon from the connection screen, you’ll have the choice to select the 5 most popular servers:

    • mastodon.social
    • mas.to
    • mastodon.world
    • techhub.social
    • mastodon.online
  • Click the Create Post button at the top right corner of your calendar or queue
  • Select the Mastodon profile you would like to schedule to by clicking on the avatar at the top of the composer
  • - Craft your post by adding text, photos, videos, mentions, and links
  • Click on Add to Queue, Share Now, Schedule Post, or Save as Draft, depending on your scheduling preference
