Bitly integration for Buffer
Buffer's Bitly integration automatically shortens links in your posts and gives you click tracking data. Monitor which content drives the most engagement with clean, branded short links on every post you publish.
Getting started
You'll need a Bitly account and a paid Buffer plan.
- In Buffer, select the channel you want to enable Bitly shortening for
- Click the gear icon next to the channel name
- Under the General tab, find Link Shortening
- Click the dropdown and select Connect Bit.ly
- Follow the steps to authorize Buffer to connect to your Bitly account
Once connected, links in posts to that channel will be automatically shortened using your Bitly account, and click data will appear in your Bitly dashboard. Link shortening is set per channel — repeat these steps for each channel where you want Bitly enabled.
