The Brief
What to build
Buffer is the social media workspace for creators, brands and agencies.
With one API across 11 social platforms, you can connect Buffer to agents, automation tools and the apps people already use, or build something entirely new. For Buffer Commit 2026, we are eager to see apps and integrations that solve a real problem for the people who post every day.
To be eligible, every build needs to:
- Work end to end, connect through Buffer OAuth, and make real API calls
- Be publicly available at the time of submission and through judging
- Existing projects are welcome, but they have to demonstrate what was added during the build window

- PostIQA companion toolkit for drafting, thread-splitting, and planning posts, then scheduling them straight into Buffer.
- Hiding Elephant X Buffer IntegrationAn AI design workspace that creates on-brand visuals, writes platform-specific captions, and publishes through Buffer.
- WriteStackA Substack creator tool that schedules Notes and cross-posts them to LinkedIn, X, and more through Buffer.
- Pokémon Cards AppAn app that reads card photos with AI, lists them in a store, and queues social promos automatically.
