What is Buffer?

You can use Buffer to build your brand on social media. More specifically, this includes our social media marketing product (Publish) and our analytics product (Analyze) in one single offering so that you can experience the impact of using them together. We believe you can more quickly grow your brand’s following and engagement on social media by using the two products together than using either one alone.

What can I do with Publish and Analyze together?

There are many ways to use Publish and Analyze together. Here are a few examples:

  • You can find out your best time to post, post type, and posting frequency to maximize your engagement rate with Analyze then optimize your posting strategy in Publish.
  • You can study the performance of your social media posts in Analyze and refine the content you share with Publish.
  • You can understand the audience you’re reaching on social with Analyze and plan out your campaigns in Publish.

How do I navigate between Publish and Analyze?

Great one! Publish and Analyze currently have separate dashboards. You can use the buttons for each product in the upper-left corner of your Buffer account to navigate from one to another. To plan and schedule your content, click on “Publish”. To see your analytics, click on “Analyze”.

Must I subscribe to both Publish and Analyze at the end of the trial?

No. You have the freedom to choose whether you want to subscribe to both or either one of the products. You can also cancel your subscription to either product anytime.

This is more than what I need for my business now. Do you have a cheaper plan?

Yes! We offer a Pro plan at $50 per month. You can connect up to eight social channels, get basic Instagram scheduling features, and advanced analytics. Features such as Instagram Stories scheduling and analytics are only available on the Premium plan ($85 per month). You can try the Pro plan here.

Can I add team members to my account? Are there team collaboration features, such as approval workflow?

For teams, we recommend getting the Buffer Publish Business plan ($99 per month). You can have up to six users, use an approval workflow, and assign access and permissions. The Publish Business plan does not include analytics at the moment. To get analytics, remember to also get Analyze separately. We are working to make it easier to try them together. Sorry for the hassle!
