What is 2-Step Login?

2-Step Login, adds an extra layer of security for your Buffer account. Whenever you log in to your account, after entering your username and password, you will be asked for a second authentication code that was sent to your mobile phone via text or free mobile app.

How it works

When you log into your Buffer account, you will be asked for your normal username and password. There are currently two ways to generate 2-step codes on your mobile device: via text message or with the Google Authenticator app (iOS and Android). You can configure these settings from your Account and Password settings.
