Q1: What motivates you to stay organized?
From the community:
A1: Circling back to our Goals chat – they help you stay accountable. But I’m a HUGE fan of actually putting pen to paper and make lists to really keep my thoughts & to-do’s organized. There’s no better feeling than physically crossing something off your list! #bufferchat pic.twitter.com/fZhEjKtEzT

A1. The peace of mind it gives me, knowing that I’m not forgetting anything. #bufferchat
— The Wonder of Ivy (@thewonderofivy) January 31, 2018
A1: Time. Why waste it by being unorganized?! My @trello boards / to-do lists keep me on track throughout the day! #bufferchat
— Cree Jones (@jones_cree) January 31, 2018
A1: Organization keeps me on task and helps me prioritize. It’s the only way to keep my projects moving forward, and helps me know tasks have been completed, so I’m not second guessing myself on event days! #bufferchat

Q2: What apps or digital organizational tools do you use?
From the community:
A2: I use @NotionHQ to keep all my notes organised, an absolutely invaluable tool to me.
Google cal, email folders, Google Drive- the usual suspects. #bufferchat
— James McKinven (@jmckinven) January 31, 2018
A2 @BearNotesApp, @airtable and @googlecalendar are utterly essential for me to get through a day without curling up into a ball and weeping ? #bufferchat
— John Bracchitta (@JWB519) January 31, 2018
A2: @ExtensifyApp for Chrome extensions, @Pocket for “To Read” articles, @evernote for Files, @trello for tracking work, @Wunderlist for “To Do” list, + others!! #bufferchat

Q3: Do you tend to stick to one ecosystem (Google, Apple, Microsoft, etc.) and why?
From the community:
A3: I end up with so many different ones depending on the work – personally favor #google for own work, but use #microsoft for client… never use #apple though! #bufferchat
— Emily Milsom (aka The Tea Person) ??✈️ (@SocialBoffin) January 31, 2018
A3. Definitely Google, because I have a Mac at work and a PC at home so I don’t want to worry about compatibility. I used Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive, Google Keep, Google Everything!#bufferchat pic.twitter.com/WBBFNtc8xq
— D Johnson Lindsay (@djohnsonlindsay) January 31, 2018
A3: I am ecosystem agnostic. Don’t be afraid to abandon tools that don’t work for you! I need the best tool for the job, whoever may offer it. This also keeps you nimble! #bufferchat pic.twitter.com/SuWkR7SAw5
— Rachel Wendte (@rkwendte) January 31, 2018
A3: I used to use a variety (Microsoft laptop, Apple phone, etc.), but I’ve really tried to streamline everything. I just find it helpful when I have to work with different files and from different locations (I do live coverage for certain @AdlerPlanet events). #BufferChat

Q4: Are there any paper or offline tools you use to stay organized?
From the community:
A4: I love my @KarstStonePaper planner. Stone paper is one of the coolest products I’ve ever encountered and highly recommend folks check it out! Downside? Pilot G2 .07s don’t work well with them. #bufferchat
— Meghan Hakey❄️ (@MegAHakey) January 31, 2018
A4: I like to use an Erin Condren planner and the PowerSheets goal planner. Both keep me organized! #bufferchat
— Express Writers (@ExpWriters) January 31, 2018
A4. @bestselfco has a great #SELFjournal I have loved using thus far! #bufferchat
— Tricia Timney (@TriciaTimney) January 31, 2018
A4: My @moleskine notebook & @Postit notes are never more than a few feet away. Something very effective about putting ideas, lists, and reminders on paper before pushing to the cloud. #bufferchat

Q5: Has any particular organizational method worked best for you?
From the community:
A5: Write everything down! Plain and simple. Keep a record of daily vs. weekly goals. #bufferchat
— Aleq Miller (@aleq_miller) January 31, 2018
A5: I couldn’t live without the bullet journal method. I’ve adapted it over time to suit me and kind of blend with how I use digital apps but it’s definitely transformed my productivity and organisational skills and I use it every day #bulletjournal #bufferchat
— Warwick Brown (@warwickabrown) January 31, 2018
A5: Rewriting my to-do list everyday. If a task is carried over for too long, it’s obviously not important enough and can be removed. #bufferchat
— Kristina Adams (@KristinaAurelia) January 31, 2018
A5. IDK if this counts, but the best method for me to stay organized is by taking care of myself first. Getting enough sleep, not skipping meals, regular exercise… the rest will fall into place #bufferchat #wellness

— the DRIVE (@theDRIVEblog) January 31, 2018
A6: This may be the millennial in me, but @Pinterest always has great ideas for organization. You just have to word your search for specific helps, so you don’t end up with kitchen organization. ? #bufferchat
— Savannah (@redheadedsinger) January 31, 2018
A6: @MarieKondo @JayShettyIW give really good life lessons on the magic of perceptions and organization. #bufferchat
